DOG/KENNEL LICENSES:
Dog Licenses are now available in the Town Clerk's office. State law requires that all dog owners in the town obtain a license for their dogs each year. A license will be issued only if the owner has evidence of a rabies vaccination which is valid as of the date of issuance. The following is the current fee schedule for dog licenses in the Town of Dighton:
DOG LICENSE FEES
Spayed Females - $5.00
Neutered Males - $5.00
Males -$5.00
Females -$10.00
Kennel Licenses require the Animal Control Officer and Board of Health approval prior to issuance.
KENNEL LICENSES FEES
4 dogs or less -$20.00
10 dogs or less - $35.00
More than 10 dogs -$65.00
SPECIAL STATE ELECTION:
Tha Special State Election is Tuesday, January 19, 2010, from 7am-8pm at the Dighton Elementary School.
Absentee Ballots are now available at the Clerk's Office.
ANNUAL TOWN ELECTION:
Tha Annual Town Election is scheduled for Saturday, April 10, 2010 from 8am-6pm at the Dighton Elementary School. Nomination papers for public office are available at the Town Clerk's Office until 5pm on Thursday, February 18, 2010 for the following offices:

Last day to submit nomination papers to Registrars in the Clerk's Office for certification is Thursday, February 18, 2010.
Last day to register to vote for the Annual Town Election is March 18, 2010 from 8am-4:30pm at the Clerk's Office and from 4:30pm to 8pm at the Dighton Police Station on Somerset Avenue.
